Strengthening Bonds: SAMULCO Extends a Helping Hand to BULIG Multipurpose Coop
In a heartwarming gesture of camaraderie and support, the Sta. Ana Multipurpose Cooperative (SAMULCO) has taken a significant step in nurturing its sibling cooperative, BULIG Multipurpose Cooperative , through the "Koop Kapatid Program" of the Cooperative Development Authority. The Koop Kapatid Program aims to help and improve cooperative management, governance, and business operations by providing technical, financial, or other types of assistance to micro and small cooperatives.
SAMULCO recently donated to BULIG Multipurpose Cooperative a steel cabinet, a computer table, and an office table during the latter’s transfer to their new office location on September 6, 2023. The new furniture will provide BULIG Coop with a more organized and efficient work environment. This is in addition to the regular coaching session that Samulco provides for their management and key officers. This act of generosity not only speaks of cooperative spirit but also demonstrates SAMULCO's deep commitment to the growth and prosperity of its cooperative family.
"This donation is not just about the physical items; it symbolizes SAMULCO’s willingness to lend its hands to the smaller coop in support of the movement. It demontrates that we stand firmly beside BULIG Coop, ready to offer guidance and resources as we navigate the cooperative landscape together." said Engr. Ruel S. Ricabo, Chief Executive Officer of Samulco.
In endeavors such as the "Koop Kapatid Program", cooperatives are able to enforce the belief that by working together, they can strengthen one another, fostering growth and sustainability in the cooperative sector.
