SAMULCO joins MASS-SPECC 2023 COOP-Vention
Sta. Ana Multipurpose Cooperative (SAMULCO) attended the 2023 COOP-Vention along with the other cooperatives in the Philippines organized by Mindanao Alliance of Self-Help Society- Southern Philippines Educational Cooperative Center (MASS-SPECC) with the theme: “Empower Members and Live the Co-op Identity” on May 11-13, 2023 at SM Trade 1, General Santos City. The jam-packed gathering featured various activities such as the Sectoral Congress, 53rd Co-op Leaders Congress, and the MASS-SPECC 49th General Assembly.
Renowned local and international speakers were invited to talk about empowering members and epitomizing cooperativism by living our co-op identity. The discussions engaged the participants to exchange ideas and share knowledge and experience on different topics such as youth leadership, climate action, national economy, and member empowerment.
One of the highlights was the historic MOA signing of MASS-SPECC with National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO) and CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative on climate action and promotion of training and learning programs. At the annual General Assembly, MASS-SPECC reported their financial performance and proclaimed the newly elected officers.
SAMULCO, as a member-owner and part of the cooperative movement, is committed to uplift the socio-economic well-being of members and shared responsibility of helping communities. As the result of our collective efforts, SAMULCO firmly believes we can catalyze change in the future. Events such as the MASS-SPECC COOP-Vention excites the cooperative as it gives a venue for the other cooperatives to share ideas, experiences, best practices and help one another in empowering members and communities.
