Chosen leaders for stronger SAMULCO

Looking back at the great years that paved the way for the cooperative's development, SAMULCO can boast of the yearly figures, which summarize the dedication of the people behind the cooperative's success. Despite the pressing issues and concerns, which are naturally part of organizational development, the Key Areas of Operations presented annually depict the undeniable force of collaborative effort and strong determination to achieve and exceed targets. This is one of the things that can speak to how the cooperative has achieved success throughout the years. In addition, the External Auditor gave a fair judgment on SAMULCO's Financial Reports in their annual audit.

Through the democratic power vested in the member-owners, they are given the right to gauge and elect leaders whom they believe worthy of the position. Undeniably, these chosen people have proven their merit with their backgrounds honed by their years of experience in their distinguished fields. The officers are responsible for protecting shareholders’ interests, establishing policies for management, overseeing the cooperative, and making decisions on critical issues that the cooperative faces.

Similar to other organizations, challenges are inevitable; however, contingencies are drawn and resolved gracefully as handled by these individuals. Currently, our officers have diverse backgrounds in economics, banking and finance, accounting, business management, medicine, education, and law, to name a few. Aside from their competitive fields, SAMULCO has surpassed obstacles with their supervision and competency in work.

From a vibrant pool of brilliant minds, their greater passion to serve with integrity overpowers it, as their primary concern is for the best interests of all. In the coming years, we must work together to achieve even more goals. Achieving goals is more likely when understanding, proper communication, and collaborative effort are genuinely practiced, especially when moving forward. The difficulties encountered in the past have made SAMULCO stronger today. It gives us a critical perspective that allows us to make better decisions. With this, the lesson was completely applied, and SAMULCO has grown and blossomed to become bigger cooperative over the years.

With the year's theme: “Bigger, better and stronger SAMULCO for more empowered lives and better communities" the new set of officers are fully equipped with the experience and knowledge and are ready to continue the achievements and will achieve greater heights in the future.
