Sta. Ana Central Elementary School

On September 23, 2025, the turnover ceremony was held at the Audio Visual Presentation Room of Sta. Ana Central Elementary School. The school, with 3,262 students and 110 dedicated teachers, has long faced challenges in its learning environment, including leaking roofs, a stage in need of rehabilitation, and the long-time dream of having a reading kiosk.

With SAMULCOโ€™s support, these dreams began to take shape through three major projects:

In her message, Principal Minnie C. Empasis expressed her gratitude, saying that SAMULCOโ€™s help truly came at the right moment and that they, together with their pupils, are very excited to use the new facilities.

SAMULCO Chief Executive Officer Ruel S. Ricabo, RCE, officially announced the adoption of Sta. Ana Central Elementary School as a partner school for the cooperativeโ€™s community development program. He assured the school community that SAMULCO will continue to support them in every way possible, emphasizing that the organization places great importance on children's education, believing they are the nation's best hope for a brighter futureโ€”and cherishes the idea that one of them might someday rise to lead the country as its president.

Notably, it is also the alma mater of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, underscoring its legacy of nurturing future leaders. He reminded the students that the only thing asked from them in return is to study well.

Through this partnership, SAMULCO has given more than facilities. It has given hope, comfort, and opportunities for brighter futures. With every repaired roof and every child who will soon benefit from the ARAL Program Center, Sta. Ana Central Elementary School now moves forward with renewed confidence.
